With Facebook as its client, Lebanon-headquartered agency, Interesting Times designed a new campaign to launch Facebook Canvas targeting the tech company’s clients. The objective of the campaign was to launch the new product and create awareness about its benefits.
Interesting Times, in partnership with Facebook, chose to leverage time spent online during Ramadan and launched the campaign during the Holy month across the MENA. Canvas is a new way to tell brand stories and promote products on mobile. It provides a space for deep and customizable storytelling with easy built tools, while allowing brands to achieve measurable performance results. For users, it is fast as it loads in less than one second, fun, immersive and interactive; and for advertisers, it is ownable, valuable and simple.
It had never been used in the Middle East, and the agency felt that the product in itself was a great to way capture marketers’ attention while educating them and sharing information about their consumers’ pertaining to online behavior during Ramadan.
Toward the end of Ramadan, the campaign had reached over 2.7 million people, resulting in 1,04,000 clicks at an unprecedented $0.04 CPC. People spent an average of 30 seconds engaging with the ad crossing client benchmarks.
Facebook Canvas is now available in over 186 countries.
