Horizon Holdings has launched Lord & Thomas, an IPG agency that specializes in visual effects, motion graphics and editing, in the MENA region. Through its team of production experts and creative strategists, the new agency will offer clients integrated content solutions.
“The sharp increase of online video content being published can be directly correlated to the way this content is being consumed, as well as the way this content is demanded by consumers,” says Mazen Jawad, group managing director at Horizon FCB. “Brands and businesses are becoming increasingly aware of how they should communicate, and have evolved to match consumers’ needs. By 2019, we expect 90 percent of Internet traffic to be driven by video content, which is where ‘Lord & Thomas’ is already playing an integral role.”
A consumer survey by HubSpot found that video was listed as the type of content people pay close attention to, followed by social media posts, and news articles, with 55 percent of respondents saying they consume video content thoroughly. 43 percent of respondents also said they would like to see more video content in the future.
“By expanding our portfolio with a world-class and award-winning team, we will be able to help our clients keep up with the evolution of communication mediums. Thereby, producing original, fast, dynamic and relatable video content that focuses on storytelling, resulting in culturally relevant and compelling branded content that people interact with, relate to and share,” adds Jawad.
