Abu Dhabi Media (ADM) – a multi-platform media and entertainment organization in the Middle East has collaborated with OSN, a pay-TV network.
ADM will migrate its high-hefinition subscription-based sports channels to OSN, followed by a new HD channel, Abu Dhabi Drama +, that will feature regional Arabic production months before it airs on the free-to-view Abu Dhabi Drama.
“We are looking forward to partnering with OSN, the leading pay-TV broadcaster that covers the MENA region,” H.E. Mohamed Ebraheem Al Mahmood, chairman and managing director of Abu Dhabi Media. “This strategic collaboration will reconfirm our position as one of the largest, multi-platform media and entertainment organisations in the UAE and the Middle East and will contribute to Abu Dhabi’s Media’s innovative portfolio and add to its success.”
David Butorac, CEO of OSN, says: “The addition of Abu Dhabi Media’s pay channels, leaders in the region’s media and entertainment sector, will significantly enhance the value and choice we offer to our subscribers. It is a strong testament to our commitment to work with leading content creators from across the world and the region”. “We understand the passion that our subscribers have for sports content, and we are excited to be able to offer the strength of ADM’s sports channels to our subscribers and even more premium Arabic entertainment choice,” he adds.
The collaboration expands the sports and entertainment offering on OSN, with the four paid Abu Dhabi sports channels offering a range of premium content including the hugely popular Arab Gulf League. Abu Dhabi Sports channels also have the exclusive rights to broadcast the 2016 UEFA European Championship Qualifiers and the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Abu Dhabi Media’s customers will be able to view their Abu Dhabi Sports subscribed-for channels through the OSN network on Abu Dhabi Media receivers until their current contracts expire. When subscribing to ADM channels on OSN, subscribers will have the opportunity to watch premium and exclusive OSN content, platforms that offer ‘anytime, anywhere’ TV experiences and get help from OSN’s customer service if required.
