The winners of the inaugural 2014 Transform MENA Awards were announced at a gala dinner held in Dubai’s JW Marriott Marquis earlier this month. Hosted by Dubai Eyes’ Business Breakfast radio show presenter, Malcolm Taylor, the show awarded participant branding and consultancy agencies for producing work that represents fabulous design and stunning intellectual and creative insight.
Landor was awarded four accolades for creative strategy solutions and brand evolutions delivered for clients in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, including a silver under Best Creative Strategy for Al Nahdi Medical Company in Saudi Arabia, and a bronze under the same category for the Qatar Museums Authority.
Over the past five years, the Transform Awards have celebrated outstanding strategic rebranding initiatives in Europe. But in 2014 the awards expanded globally to recognize work done by companies in the Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) region.
“We are both honored and excited about the recognition received for our work at this years’ inaugural Transform awards”, says Landor Dubai’s executive director Ramel Kabbani, “and we take this recognition forward as an inspiration to continue developing relevant, impactful, world-class brands for this region”.
Andrew Thomas, editor of Transform magazine, says: “The standard of work coming out of the Middle East is as good as any from around the world, and there is much for which brand practitioners and their agencies and counsel can feel proud. We are very proud to be a footnote in their organizations’ stories by providing a platform from which to recognise the excellence of their changing brand narratives.”
