Pepsi has released a new video targeting – and celebrating – Saudis. The brand believes that “Saudis today are connected more than ever to their national identity, anticipating the future while witnessing a historic transformation of their nation”. Pepsi has been in Saudi for more than 60 years and feels very much a part of this transformation.
In a statement, the brand claims, “Pepsi has always been proud to be the sound of NOW, especially when it comes to KSA’s pop-culture.”
The video features seven brand ambassadors including singer Abadi Aljohar and Saudi’s UN Goodwill brand ambassador Muna Abuslaiman. “The kingdom, the brand and the celebrities’ evolution is beautifully woven together to bring to life ‘The Greatness is Within’ narrative,” says Pepsi.
