The third edition of the Middle East Social Media Festival (MESMF) will be held on April 11-12 at the Movenpick Hotel and Resort.
MESMF is an annual social media marketing event organized by Lebanon’s Social Media Influencers Association (a micro influencer incubator, non-profit organization), in partnership with Linkedin. The festival, first started in 2017, assembles under one roof business people, students, digital marketers and social media experts.
The year’s event will hold a series of conferences on the first day, addressing among other things, whether social media is a good or bad thing (by advertising veteran Ramsay Najjar), the power of the Twitter audience (by Carla Maalouli, head of marketing in MENA at Twitter), data as the new superpower (by Marwan Zeineddine, head of key accounts and emerging markets territories at LinkedIn). A panel discussion on how to use humor in your social media activities will gather Sam Trabulsi (founder of Lebanese Memes Solutions), clown doctor Fouad Yammine, vloggers Nathalie Masri and Nadyn Chalhoub from Coffee Break, as well as vlogger Farid Hobeiche. Arab Ad’s Christina Fakhry will also review last year’s “most epic brand social media moments”.
The second day will focus on workshops: Alain Fares, Senior media solutions manager at LinkedIn, will conduct one how to master content marketing on his platform; Jimmy Ghazal, instructor in Media Studies at the AUB, will explain how to implement AI digital marketing for businesses in 2019; and digital marketing strategist & trainer Joseph Yaacoub will present how to work with or become amicro-influencer in 2019.
