Arabnet Beirut will celebrate its 10-year anniversary on June 12 and 13 at Seaside Arena, Beirut.
This year’s theme revolves around digital transformation, and will feature three forums for industries that are going digital: Launchpad will highlight the latest trends in investment and entrepreneurship; Ad/Edge, will discuss e-marketing and advertising technology; and Finverse will bring together senior bankers, fintech startups and tech providers.
For the first time, the conference will also include a startup showcase, with 100 startups from the region given the chance to connect with investors and industry experts from the GCC such as Riyad TAQNIA Fund, ST Ventures and Hala Ventures from KSA, Arzan VC from Kuwait, Shorooq Investments and GINCO Investments from UAE.
As usual, Arabnet Beirut’s competition staples are in the works: the Startup Battle will have three startups competing on a regional level at the Startup Championship; the Ideathon competition will address aspiring entrepreneurs; Creative Combat is a digital marketing competition; and Innovation Avenue for hardware innovators.
Arabnet expects a wide array of 3000+ attendees, ranging from government officials to entrepreneurs, and more than 250 regional and international experts and speakers, including: Richard Harris, partner and head of G Squared EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Warner Music Group’s chief innovation officer Scott Cohen, Quest Ventures’ managing partner James Tan, head of MTV Digital Studios and Viacom’s senior vice president Lars Silberbauer, Ovamba’s co-founder and president Voila Llewellyn, and head of marketing of LEGO Group Middle East Africa Urszula Bieganska.
