The Leo Burnett MENA network notched a set of great wins this winter at the MENA Cristal in Lebanon. After Leo Burnett Worldwide was named Global Network of the Year at the prestigious 2013 Cristal Festival last December in France, Leo Burnett MENA won Network of the Year at this year’s MENA Cristal.
The MENA Network was awarded Network of the Year for exceptional creative work submitted by 5 of the network’s offices: Dubai with 2 Gold, 6 Silver and 9 Bronze, Cairo with 1 Grand Prix, 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze, Amman with 1 Silver and 1 Bronze, Doha with 1 Gold and 1 Bronze, and Beirut with 2 Grand Prix, 5 Gold, 3 Silver and 9 Bronze. Leo Burnett’s network stood out with highly creative work for some notably iconic brands like Egyptian Mobinil, P&G, Dubai International Film Festival, Samsung, Du, Oreedoo and McDonalds, to name a few.
Raja Trad, Chief Executive Officer of Leo Burnett MENA said, “On behalf of all Burnetters and our clients without whom we would be unable to produce such great quality work, I would like to say how exceptionally proud I am to belong to such a talented and dynamic network of passionate people. Looking forward to the year ahead, I am confident that we have the quality and vision in the MENA network to keep producing world class campaigns.”
Leo Burnett MENA won in total 3 Grand Prix, 10 Gold, 13 Silver and 24 Bronze coming from Doha, Cairo, Dubai, Amman and Beirut. The Chief Creative Officer for the MENA region, Bechara Mouzannar, said, “These awards are proof of a great collaboration among multiple offices and various teams of talented and dedicated storytellers, enjoying their work and developing meaningful communication through a humankind lens.”
It is worth mentioning that one of the agencies to be recognized was Leo Burnett Beirut, claiming Agency of the Year for a third consecutive year. Demonstrating Lebanon’s homegrown creative talent, Leo Burnett Beirut set the standard by winning the PR Grand Prix for Offre-Joie “Volunteers do not seek recognition,” and the Production Grand Prix for Warde’s “The Quest.” The Beirut office was also awarded a bouquet of other precious trophies for a variety of work, which Nada Abi Saleh, Managing Director of the Beirut Office, was quick to attribute to the strong creative collaborative efforts of the Beirut team: “We have always believed in developing meaningful and human communication through an in-depth understanding of people and their relationships with brands. Leo Burnett’s insightful approach to delivering integrated campaigns for our clients drives us to develop communication with creative purpose that speaks to people.”
