The first day of Digital Media Forum (DMF) 2015 concluded with a host of industry luminaries offering their analysis on the region’s digital landscape. Currently underway at The Westin hotel, Dubai, the two-day long has brought together over 500 stakeholders from across the world to examine the opportunities and challenges presented to businesses, brands and consumers in the rapidly evolving sector.
Held under the theme Digital Technology: Bringing the Future Closer’ day one of DMF 2015 addressed digital issues, with presentation titles including; The Future of Retail & eCommerce, Branding in a Digital World and Generation A for Anonymity and the rise of Snapchat.
“This is the fourth instalment of DMF and it is incredible to see how in the space of just four years the digital arena has leapfrogged forwards and embraced new modus operandi as technology has advanced,” says Najla Mazboudi, owner and founder of DMF and SpotOn media services and events, the organization behind the annual event.
“DMF was conceived as a forum for marketing stakeholders to get to grips with the dynamic platform that is digital and to find ways to overcome its obstacles and capitalise on its opportunities. We are delighted to be able to offer a full programme of speeches and presentations over the two days that convey the latest developments in the arena in a language that attendees can relate to,” she adds.
Key-note speakers on day one of DMF 2015 included Naseem Javed, President, ABC Namebank, Canada; Igor Beuker, professional speaker, author & awakener, the Netherlands and Faris Abouhamad, President of Interone Resonance Middle East LLC, Chairman and World President of the International Advertising Association (IAA).

The second day of DMF 2015 will be taken up with speeches and a special programme element titled Create the Digital Buzz, which will see agencies each competing against each other to put together a 10-minute presentation for a jury, with the winning agency awarded a significant prize. The day’s activities will conclude at lunchtime, while the evening will witness the MENA Digital Awards.
