For the 12th time AutoVision, the international film and multimedia festival for the automotive industry is accepting entries. Starting from now, companies from the automotive sector, agencies, film and multimedia producers, TV stations as well as students are invited to enter their works and compete for the prestigious OttoCar trophies.
Founded in 1993, the biennial competition has become one of the highlights of the world’s largest and most important events for passenger cars, the International Motorshow (IAA) in Frankfurt. In existence since over 20 years, the festival garnered a record 300+ entries in its last edition in 2013.
“We were impressed by the number of entries in the last edition. The increasing number of top-quality productions proves that the demand for creativity in the automotive industry is constantly growing and from AutoVision 2015 we expect to enhance these creative challenges globally”, says Alexander V. Kammel, director of the AutoVision Festival.
The best works will be awarded with the Gold, Silver and Black OttoCar trophies. Additionally, the independent international jury will choose the OttoCar Grand Prix for Films and the OttoCar Grand Prix for Interactive & Multimedia.
The Awards Ceremony will take place on September 17, 2015 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Entries can be made online. There are 48 categories to participate in, which are divided in eight main groups: Commercials (TV and Cinema), TV Programs, Websites, Interactive/Multimedia, Informational Films, Product Presentation Films, Production Arts & Crafts and Students. All productions aired/produced/posted online after January 1, 2013 are eligible for entry.
Benefits for entrants
All entries submitted until April 3, 2015 will receive an Early Bird discount of 10 percent. Participants submitting more than one piece of work, or enter more than one category, benefit from a reduced rate. AutoVision also offers the unique possibility for students from all over the world to present themselves and their works on a worldwide stage with a special student price.
