Growth Velocity Academy bootcamp kicks off in Beirut

The fourth edition of the Growth Velocity Academy boot camp is back in Beirut as of today (April 1) for an intensive 5-day course on digital marketing.

Boosted marketing courses

Growth Velocity Academy was founded in December 2017 in London around one simple idea: bringing together top-tier tech instructors from the UK to develop entrepreneurship hubs all around the world.

Co-founder and marketer Omar Lababedi explains he wants “to help bridge the skill gap between academia and technological growth”. A Syrian national, Lababedi studied in Beirut at AUB before he moved to London, and still has an intense connection to the region.

The boot camp is organized twice a year and first came to Beirut in March 2018. It aims to teach attendants (essentially startups and entrepreneurs) how to target audiences and drive revenue for businesses with efficient and affordable digital campaigns.

The digital marketing bootcamps are usually divided in three levels:

  • Level one: digital marketing program – an intensive 40-hour course given out across 5 days (it’s the model currently taking place in Beirut).
  • Level two: growth velocity implementation program – a remote six-month course that helps students implement what they’ve learned in the boot camp, providing weekly follow-ups,  monthly sessions, webinars, etc.
  • Level three: escape velocity program-growth hacking – an advanced course that aids businesses to scale quickly and efficiently.

Growth Velocity Academy has reached seven cities in the last two years (London, Oslo, Beirut, Jeddah, Riyadh, Kuwait, and Bahrain), “and hopefully, in the second half of 2019, we’ll be entering three to four countries,” says Lababedi.
