Dentsu Aegis Network consolidates its presence in the regional communications space by introducing ICUC – its global agency offering social media moderation & social media management services. ICUC provides content moderation, community management and reporting insights to support brands’ digital media strategies.
ICUC moderates the social media space by including user-generated content, online chats and live events across the region. As brands are increasingly worrying about controlling their brand on social platforms, ICUC manages that risk by supplying round the clock moderation. It provides people-powered, social intelligence to some of the worlds most socially engaged brands including Mastercard, Coca-Cola and Starbucks.
The new office will be led by Audrey Soler who is tasked with providing strategic leadership in establishing new markets and partnerships and introducing this specialist brand to the region. Soler had previously been working with Yahoo!/Maktoob in the early years of the community portal and as head of digital managing various accounts like Pizza Hut, Olay, MAF Leisure & Entertainment and Atlantis Dubai.
“The social media world is evolving and changing daily, and a brand can no longer have a social media presence without needing protection. With the launch of ICUC, we can help brands moderate and monitor their social conversation in both Arabic and English. Social networks, blogs and video-sharing sites like YouTube are great vectors in the region but this is just one aspect of social strategy. Whilst brands need to engage with their consumers 24/7/365 through strong social customer care, managing online reputation by keeping negative social content at bay is equally important. With 12 years of experience in online risk mitigation ICUC delivers peace of mind and insurance for our clients and their social presence,” says Audrey Soler, business development manager at ICUC.
Speaking of the launch, Michael Nederlof, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network MENA, says, “There is an ideal match between ICUC’s real-time social media services and our clients’ growing needs across the social media landscape. ICUC’s breadth of expertise in social media intelligence services will not only add a new digital service to our portfolio but also boost Dentsu Aegis Network’s leadership across the digital performance spectrum in the region. Brands will now understand consumer opinions and monitor product campaigns and competitors in real-time, to make better business decisions and maximize return-on-investment (ROI)”.
