liv. appoints Netizency to manage its social media

liv. the digital-only lifestyle bank by Emirates NBD, has appointed Dubai-based digital marketing agency Netizency as its new social media agency. Targeted at millennials, Emirates NBD’s latest offering liv. is a no paper work bank. The mobile-only bank was launched a few months ago and is now available for both Android and iOS users.

Effective immediately, the contract covers strategy, content, community management and analytics, with the objective of launching the brand and driving registration to liv.

The win comes after a 3-month pitch against several agencies. Netizency was awarded the business at the beginning of July 2017.
“liv. is banking reimagined by Emirates NBD, a first-of-its kind service in the UAE. We neither operate like a traditional bank, nor communicate like a traditional bank. Our criteria for selecting a social media agency was very much rooted in our ethos: innovative, youthful, and always one-step ahead,” says Jayash Patel, head of liv. at Emirates NBD, in a statement. “During the pitch process, Netizency proved they were the right partner for us by demonstrating a clear understanding of our vision for the brand.

Commenting on the win, Fadi Khater, founder and managing partner at Netizency adds: “The liv. win is a strategic one for us. We see liv. as part of a new generation of digital-only brands targeting millennials; with a new-age mindset that can help in changing the traditional advertising model. The win is a testament to our team’s passion, creativity and strategic prowess.”
